Nye Bevan said “the Tories are lower than vermin,” and man, was he right! The Conservative Party has consistently put the interests of the wealthy over the needs of the working class. This is especially apparent in their handling of the NHS.
The Tories have introduced austerity measures that have hurt the most vulnerable members of our society. They have slashed funding for the NHS, resulting in staff shortages and longer wait times for patients. The COVID-19 pandemic has only highlighted the damage they have done. Healthcare workers have been pushed to their limits, and the government’s response has been inadequate.
The NHS is a vital service that provides healthcare to all citizens, regardless of their financial situation. It should be a top priority for any government, but the Tories have consistently failed to recogniSe this. They have implemented policies that benefit themselves and their rich pals, while neglecting the needs of everyday people.
The damage the Tories have done to the NHS cannot be overstated. Lives are at stake, and we need to demand better from our government. It’s time to hold the Tories accountable for their actions and fight for a healthcare system that serves everyone, not just the wealthy few.
